Intensive Care Unit

Hollywood Private Hospital's Intensive Care Unit has direct access to the Post Anaesthesia Care Unit, the Operating Suite, Radiology and the Angiography Suite. The unit has nine beds and on-site 24 hour medical cover.

The Intensive Care Unit provides a range of cardiac services including monitoring and invasive pressure monitoring, arterial C0₂ intra-abdominal draining and monitoring and cerebro-spinal fluid drainage and monitoring. Patients also have access to pulmonary artery monitoring and the balloon pump. We also provide invasive and non-invasive ventilation.

Team members care for patients who have had cardiothoracic, colorectal, ear nose and throat, facio-maxillary, neurosurgery, vascular, general and orthopaedic surgery and patients who have undergone endoluminal procedures. They also manage care for acute medical patients and provide PICC and central venous line insertions for inpatients.
